Guy Ritchie Thinks He Could Make A Great ‘Suicide Squad’ Movie

Suicide Squad 2

With the success of massive superhero franchises like what we see from Marvel and DC Comics, it’s no surprise that most Hollywood directors are looking to jump onto a superhero property, and Guy Ritchie isn’t any different. Ritchie recently talked to Variety’s “Playback” podcast about his new film King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword and briefly discussed a superhero franchise he’s interested in.

“I quite fancy doing Suicide Squad 2, because I thought I could do a good job with it. I can’t do it because I’m doing something else, but I’ve felt I could really do something with that.”

It’s easy to understand why Ritchie would be interested in doing a Suicide Squad sequel. The director’s unique style and the tone of his films would work damn near perfect for what Warner Bros. seemingly wants for the Suicide Squad. It’s unfortunate that Ritchie is unavailable for the Suicide Squad sequel but hopefully, we’ll see him circle around to another DC Comics or Marvel property eventually.

Between daydreams of being The Flash, Kieran manages to find the time to read comics, watch movies and keep up with the latest TV Series. The ultimate Superman fanboy his specific interests include the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Extended Universe, and Marvel & DC Comics. Kieran's life goal is to test real-life Iron Man armor. He'd be pretty bummed if he never got to travel the galaxy.
