Marvel Cinematic Universe News Spider-Man: Homecoming

Tom Holland Wants His Spider-Man To Fight These Two Iconic Villains

Spider-Man: Homecoming is shaping up to be not only a good Marvel film, but possibly the greatest Spider-Man movie yet. In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Tom Holland talked about the future and mentioned two villains he’d like to fight in Spidey sequels.

“Oh, well I love Doc Ock. I think Spider-Man 2 is one of the greatest superhero movies ever made. But I think Venom is someone I’d love to kick the crap out of one day.”

It’s easy to see why Holland wants to fight these two villains. Doctor Octopus has already proved to be an amazing Cinematic villain, and Venom is arguably the greatest villain in Spidey’s gallery. Unfortunately, we might never get to see one of these baddies fight our new Spider-Man. It’s likely that Doctor Octopus will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, but Venom is a different story. Sony is currently developing a solo movie for the character that will not connect to Tom Holland’s webslinger, meaning we might never see the iconic rivals share the screen again.

Spider-Man: Homecoming lands in theatres on July 7, 2017!

Between daydreams of being The Flash, Kieran manages to find the time to read comics, watch movies and keep up with the latest TV Series. The ultimate Superman fanboy his specific interests include the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Extended Universe, and Marvel & DC Comics. Kieran's life goal is to test real-life Iron Man armor. He'd be pretty bummed if he never got to travel the galaxy.
