Breaking: Matt Reeves Confirmed To Direct ‘The Batman’

Warner Bros. has confirmed that Matt Reeves will direct The Batman.

Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that Matt Reeves will direct The Batman. According to the announcement, Reeves will produce the project as well as direct.

Reeves was the first choice for Warner Bros. after Ben Affleck dropped out of directing. The director is known for his work on Dawn of the Planet of the ApesCloverfield, and the upcoming War for the Planet of the Apes. 

Reeves released an official statement saying:

“I have loved the Batman story since I was a child. He is such an iconic and compelling character, and one that resonates with me deeply. I am incredibly honored and excited to be working with Warner Bros. to bring an epic and emotional new take on the Caped Crusader to the big screen.”

The Batman will star Ben Affleck as Batman and Joe Manganiello as the villainous Deathstroke. Other stars include Jeremy Irons and J.K. Simmons.
