Simon Kinberg Reportedly In Talks To Direct The Next ‘X-Men’ Movie

It looks like the X-Men series writer and producer Simon Kinberg is ready to step into the director’s chair. According to a new report from Collider, Simon Kinberg has completed the screenplay for the next X-Men movie and is in talks with 20th Century Fox to make his directorial debut with the project.

Kinberg has been involved with the X-Men franchise for years and has acted as either a writer or producer on films such as X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Deadpool. Kinberg also worked on the new FX series, Legion. The next installment of the X-Men franchise will reportedly focus on the Dark Phoenix storyline and will see James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), and Sophie Turner (Jean Grey) return.
