Hugh Jackman Discusses ‘Logan’ & Saying Goodbye To Wolverine

While reviews for Logan will drop later today, the film’s star Hugh Jackman has been promoting the film and recently discussed what it was like to say goodbye to Wolverine in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“There is not a frame of this film where I can’t say I didn’t put everything into it, I couldn’t have made this film if I didn’t make the decision within myself that this was the last one. I just didn’t compromise on anything. I was a pain to a lot of people because I don’t get another shot at this. This is a character I love. I owe my career to this character.”

Jackman’s co-star and partner in the X-MEN franchise Patrick Stewart also discussed Logan, offering hope that he might appear as Professor X in another movie.

“Hugh has raised the flag that says goodbye. I haven’t done that yet.”

Logan will not only see Hugh Jackman exit as Wolverine but we will also be introduced to X-23, a young girl with surprisingly similar powers to Wolverine. Jackman briefly discussed how X-23 became a part of Logan.

“That was one thing I was a pain about, I was like, ‘Dude, this is the greatest idea, but how are we going to pull this off? How do we find that girl?’ And we did.”
