Mel Gibson In Talks To Direct ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel

Suicide Squad

According to new reports from The Hollywood Reporter and DeadlineHacksaw Ridge director Mel Gibson is in talks to helm the Suicide Squad sequel for Warner Bros.

The reports claim that Gibson has had conversations with the studio and is “familiarizing” himself with the material but Warner Bros. is still talking to other directors including Daniel Espinosa (Safe House).

It would be extremely exciting if Gibson decided to direct the Suicide Squad sequel. The director has more than proven his talents and I would personally enjoy seeing his take on this genre, especially after his comments about Batman v Superman. In an interview with Deadline, Gibson called the film “a piece of shit,” when he learned that the film had a $250 million budget.

Would you like to see Gibson direct a Suicide Squad sequel? be sure to let us know in the comments section!

Between daydreams of being The Flash, Kieran manages to find the time to read comics, watch movies and keep up with the latest TV Series. The ultimate Superman fanboy his specific interests include the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Extended Universe, and Marvel & DC Comics. Kieran's life goal is to test real-life Iron Man armor. He'd be pretty bummed if he never got to travel the galaxy.
