Lex Luthor And A ‘Wonder Woman’ Character Will Return In ‘Justice League’

Justice League

Warner Bros. has confirmed that Jesse Eisenberg will return as Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Luthor was the primary villain in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice so it’s exciting to think that we’ll see the character develop throughout the DC Extended Universe. The last we saw of Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor he was being transported to Arkham at the request of Batman.

The studio also revealed that Queen Hippolyta will appear in the film, with Connie Nielson reprising her role from the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. With the reveal of Hippolyta in Justice League, it is clear that Themyscira will likely appear in the film, with a Mother Box possibly being kept hidden there.

Warner Bros. also revealed that Diane Lane will reprise her role as Martha Kent in Justice League, meaning we might see the emotional reunion between Superman and his Earth mother.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theatres on November 17, 2017.
