Patrick Wilson Discusses Why He Joines James Wan’s ‘Aquaman’ As The Villain

Earlier this week the news broke that Watchmen and The Conjuring 2 star Patrick Wilson has joined the cast of Aquaman. Wilson will portray the heroes half-brother and nemesis Orm. While talking to ABC Radio’s GMA Wilson explained why he decided to join James Wan and Jason Momoa on the project.

“What’s gonna be interesting is there hasn’t been the technology to back up the storytelling, I guess, for Aquaman,” Wilson said, “Until now. And for me, of course, I’m completely biased with James Wan, who I’ve done four films with — knowing that he’s at the helm and knowing what he … can do and what he will do, I’ll do anything with him.”

“I think the lure of Aquaman [is] because he hasn’t been overexposed on screen. And I don’t know Jason (Momoa) — I can’t wait to meet him. I was a huge fan even from the first episode of Game of Thrones, so I’m in — I’m in with him, and he’s gonna be fantastic,” Wilson added.

Patrick Wilson and Aquaman star Jason Momoa will head to Australia for production soon. The film will shoot at Roadshow Studios in Queensland, using one of the largest water tanks available.

Between daydreams of being The Flash, Kieran manages to find the time to read comics, watch movies and keep up with the latest TV Series. The ultimate Superman fanboy his specific interests include the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Extended Universe, and Marvel & DC Comics. Kieran's life goal is to test real-life Iron Man armor. He'd be pretty bummed if he never got to travel the galaxy.
